I've never had a guest comic before! Aaron Diaz just offered to make one for kicks, and because he is a good man and a nice friend! I am putting it up now, because I spent the whole weekend packing to move, and got nothin' done.

You all must check out Aaron's comic, Dresden Codak, because I think you will be blown away a little.

Im not gonna lie, it feels pretty neat to have this!

I don't really get the Samuel Butler joke. Wasn't he Lamarckian?

I can't find anything about him being Lamarckian, and this article suggests he was a proponent of evolutionary theory but favored the works of Erasmus Darwin over Charles (which Wikipedia adds on that Butler thought Charles had failed to give enough credit to Erasmus in his theories). He wrote an article (and then some more related ones, which developed into the novel Erewhon) called "Darwin Among the Machines," where he suggested the idea of machine life developing intelligence, in similar manner to how humans supposedly developed as described by Darwin, an idea that put him way ahead of his time.

He was probably quite serious, all things considered, but his reputation as a satirist led to the article and Erewhon being dismissed eventually as satire instead of a serious meditation on the idea (especially considering the apparent absurdity, at the time, of machine life and machine intelligences).

I found your comic through Mr. Diaz, when you wrote the guest comic for him breaking his hands with his bike.

I also found your comic through Dresden Codak when he said in one of his notes, "Also you should all check out Kate Beaton's Comics because they are fantastic."

I enjoyed his comic about the time you joined him at your first comic con. "Welcome to America Kate Beaton. This is an Automobile. They are similar to your bears." [picture of a Canadian riding a bear]
