Christmas 2005

Last year I made a little Christmas comic, a memory from long ago. I started to think recently of another Christmas, one much later, and I thought I'd share it with you.

It's a place that's hard to describe for anyone who hasn't been. For a little visual context, where I was looked like this.

I hope you have a good holiday season, my friends.

For a little cheer, why not download this wonderful collection of songs by some very talented Canadian artists? Some friends of mine included! You'll love it.

Aw man, so good. Moms and Christmas, a combination sure to punch me right in the heart.

And speaking of, thank you for the link to those songs! As it so happens, I'm making a proper cd of them for my own mom right now, haha.

I love being Canadian. I'll be spending Christmas without family, as I recover from surgery. Maybe I'll get out the little Christmas ornaments my grandmother gave me.

Aww, thanks for sharing this. I'm home in the BC interior for Christmas now, but it kind of makes me wish I hadn't left for the small college town, and now the large East-Coast city, both in the US, where I've been living for the past almost-decade.

Really dang sweet. I enjoy seeing an un-idealized portrayal of Christmas, still charming in its own honest way. :)

On the subject of past Christmas comics, I love these re-posts, but my favorite is still the Beaton Christmas Companion from a few years ago. Any chance of bringing it back? Either way, I am filled with the Christmas spirit.

De-lurking to say that was really sweet - of both you and that man! A lot of people would have just thanked him and moved on with their lives. <3

I don't know how, but you write the accent perfectly. As a Newfoundlander I can totally imagine all the voice inflections and it's making me feel warm and cosy. Happy Holidays my trout!

That place looks like where my fiance and his dad were working last year..well...except not in Florida XD Seeing that video makes me wonder if, while his Dad was working up in Canada, if that's what the place looked like there as well.

Loved the story, it was really heartwarming <3
