Can they sue you if you don't specifically say it's Tintin?
It could just be a major coincidence right? Riiiight

Thank you. This makes me happy!

There is a strong possibility that this won't cause any hoopla with Belgium what-so-ever. Tin-tin has been parodied quite a bit and rather viciously in the past.

I like how the face in the last panel is the same face you put on your comic self when you have to go to work or Napoleon eats all your cookies.

"Why do you have to do this?"

Wow, Tintin. I haven't seen Tintin in probably decades - is it very popular in Canada? Because not so much in the States, at least in my experience. And yet, so recognizable. Also, cute dog.

I think it was popular among a certain portion of a certain generation. The (lacklustre, sanitized) tv show raised the profile a little in the mid-90s but it also led to a lot of people pronouncing Tintin to rhyme with the first part of "win-win situation". (Boy there are not a lot of english language examples of to draw upon for that) So that's no good!

Look at Snowy's little serious face in the third panel! Aw!

Oh come on, we both know it was Captain Haddock who was constantly out on the roof. Look at this guy.

You know in a few days, he'll be detoxing in Dr. Calculus' office while Nestor just shakes his head slowly in an anteroom, clutching a wrinkled and faded Captain's License. The license, it smells of gin.

Haddock became the drinking comedy relief but before he was there, it was Snowy who was attracted to Loch Lomond and also, Snowy stopped 'talking' as Haddock replaced him as sidekick

Captain Haddock's alcohol abuse problems make me sad. He would have delirium tremens by now if he still drinks like I remember him to. How low our heroes can fall. Ah, the infinite sadness. Tintin, I feel your pain.

Hergé introduced me to the concept of ALCOHOLISM=HILARIOUS

Also I always think Snowy's telling people to slow down when he barks.

I am from Belgium. Nobody is going to sue you. At worst you get an honourable mention in the Tintin museum.

btw I read the Dutch version, Tintin is the French name and Kuifje is the Dutch name (with Bobby being the dog)
