I have a prediction: One day (many years from now?), you will fall so in love with a subject, do so much research and make such phenomenal discoveries that you can't believe people aren't aware of... that you will have to tell the WHOLE story. And since comics are your medium, you will have to tell it in comics.
Which means, dear Kate, that when this happens you will be stuck with doing something BIG, long form, war-and-peace size, redbrick heavy. When this realization hits you, and you run panicked, screaming into the hills, slow down to a trot before you're too exhausted to go on, walk into the nearest log cabin, start a fire in the hearth, put tea in the kettle and start page one.
