Drawings and Talkings

I've been sketching wonder woman, is it because I see Watchmen posters everywhere I go and my mind is riddled with superheroes? Oh I forgot her bracelets.

I've also been drawing ladies in a riding habits, I find those garments really interesting!

And Peter the Great? Maybe I will put more of him up later.

Anyway, boy are there some interviews and things with me out there. I think I have done enough for the rest of the year over the course of the last two weeks. But for those interested, here is one at Librarian Beat and there is also a big one at Culture Magazine. Both these interviewers were extremely nice! There is also a thing out in MacLean's soon that I have not seen.

I have been asked about comic conventions and where I am going, I can tell you that right now this is what it looks like:

March 28 UK Comix thing
April 25-27 Graphic Narrative festival at Washington College (they have no actual website for this)
May 9-10 TCAF
June 6-7 MoCCA (if we can get a table, we are on a waiting list)

1. Those Wonder Womans are amazing.

2. I thought that said "Libertarian Beat" and not "Librarian Beat". Awkward.

Also I am filled with glee and delight that you will be visiting our fair shores at the end of the month! I will be at the UK Comix thing, having volunteered as some manner of audio/video minion, so if you witness a chap with vaguely Victorian facial hair cursing at the wiring, that might well be me.

Perhaps dozens of people have already told you, but Wonder Woman actually has an animated feature movie being released today. I think marketing agents are beta-testing the ability to project commercials directly into people's brains on you, and that is the reason for your sudden doodling of ol' Wondy.

Either that or it's a remarkably strange coincidence.

Cleavage IS very helpful... in a crimefighting sense. I always have found it that way, at least. Ah, Wonder Woman, your wisdom is great and your costume is an example to all us women seeking to distract the bad guys with displays of skin.

Clearly the next logical step is for you to make a "Watchmen" comic.

It would combine two of my favorite things with just so much efficiency.

Hey, the capitols of some of the world's greatest empires were built on swamps.

Washington D.C., for example. It's practically a prerequisite now.

If I could, I would wear a late 18th century ladies' riding habit regularly. I love the tiny tricorn hats. Menswear for women has always been chic!

Love the Wonder Woman!

I don't remember the bit of Watchmen with Wonder Woman. D:

Cleavage is a useful tool for misdirection in both crimefighting and magicianship!

I totally LOL'ed over "Personally I find cleavage very helpful, in a crimefighting sense." :D

If you came to a convention in Phoenix, Arizona, I would come to see you and ask for your autograph and do the whole geeky fangirl thing, but I somewhat sadly suspect that it is too far away from you to be very likely.

The dialogue in your comics gets roughly 150% funnier due to the lack of punctuation! I cannot quite articulate why this is so, but there is a world of difference between the finality of a sentence with a period on the end and the off-the-cuffness of a sentence without one, left to hang in space. Please don't ever add periods out of any misplaced sense of grammatical duty. Unless of course they make it funnier.

Funny, just yesterday I was checking out the TCAF website and when I saw you were going to be there I let out a big "Yes!"

Will you be printing up any of those "festival only" comics that webcartoonists often do?
